Irab for teachers.

Madrasah teachers, Islamic school instructors, and online Arabic academy faculty use Irab to grade student i'rab homework in seconds, prepare lessons faster, and give students unlimited grammar practice. Qualifying institutions get free teacher accounts in exchange for a resources-page link. This page covers how Irab fits in your classroom and how to apply for free institution access.

What teachers actually use Irab for

Three things, mostly: grading homework faster (paste student answer, see if their i'rab matches), preparing lessons (test how the AI handles ayat you're about to teach), and giving students a self-paced practice tool that doesn't require your time. Plus the side benefit of mastery certificates students can show parents.

  • Grade in seconds. Paste a student's i'rab attempt. Compare to the AI's parse. Spot disagreements instantly.
  • Lesson prep. Before teaching a new ayah, run it through Irab. Surface the structural moves you want to highlight.
  • Self-paced student practice. 576 graded sentences in the app. Students drill on their own time. You spend class time on the harder material.
  • Mastery certificates. Students earn shareable certificates per level. Real motivation, real proof of progress.
  • Reference library. 47 classical Arabic grammar books — Ajrumiyya, al-Kafiya, al-Mufassal, an-Nahw al-Wadih, Shadha al-'Arf, and more. 25,000+ chapters across nahw, sarf, balagha, and i'rab. Searchable, with reader mode. Students stop asking the same questions.

Fits whatever curriculum you teach

Teachers using Madinah Arabic Books, Bayyinah Arabic, Ajrumiyya, Qatr al-Nada, and Alfiyyat Ibn Malik all use Irab as supplemental practice. The app's library has 47 classical grammar books organized by category and level, so students can look up topics from any course. Irab doesn't replace your curriculum, it accelerates the practice phase of it.

Common pairings teachers report:

  • Madinah Book 1 → Irab daily challenges. Beginners drill on simple sentences while learning vocabulary.
  • Madinah Book 2-3 → Irab practice mode. Intermediate students get instant feedback on increasingly complex sentences, plus AI grading on sentences they write themselves.
  • Ajrumiyya → Quran parsing. Classical students apply rules to actual Quranic ayat and check their work.
  • Bayyinah Arabic → reference library. Students look up rules between class sessions.

أسئلة شائعة

أسئلة متكررة

How do free institution accounts work?

We give qualifying madrasahs, Islamic schools, and online Quran academies free Plus accounts for their teachers in exchange for a link from your resources page or syllabus. Email hello@irab.app with your institution name and student count to apply.

Can I track my students' progress?

Not yet. A dedicated teacher dashboard with student rosters and progress tracking is on our roadmap, but it's not shipped. Today, students can share their mastery certificates with you directly when they pass a level, and you can see their work by reviewing parses they share with you.

Is the AI accurate enough to grade student work?

For most student-level sentences, yes. For ambiguous cases or advanced classical constructions, we recommend reviewing the AI's analysis rather than blindly trusting it. Use it as a fast first pass, then apply your own judgment.

Do you offer institutional pricing for student licenses?

We're happy to discuss bulk arrangements for schools, madrasahs, and academies, email hello@irab.app with your student count and we'll work out a fair rate together. There's no fixed institutional tier in the app yet, every arrangement is custom.

Will Irab replace my role as a teacher?

No, and that's not the goal. Irab is a practice multiplier, it gives your students unlimited drill repetitions you can't provide alone. The pedagogical framework, motivation, and corrections that come from a real teacher remain irreplaceable.

Can I integrate Irab with my existing curriculum?

Yes. Teachers using Madinah Books, Bayyinah, Ajrumiyya, Qatr al-Nada, and other classical curricula assign Irab as supplemental practice. The app's library has 47 classical grammar books searchable by category (nahw, sarf, balagha, i'rab) and level (beginner/intermediate/advanced), so students can look up specific topics from any course.
